Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up Rashad Sistrunk from Philadelphia, PA, in prayer. We pray that Rashad will come to know that it is only in the name of our Lord Jesus that we have access to God our Father. Let us first address this concern with the words of Jesus himself. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 WEB. We know that not everyone who says 'Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven and we know that we should not put the LORD our God to the test.
First, let us also address a concern about your prayer request. You have used the name Jehovah which is not the name of our God according to the Bible. Psalms 83:18 WEB tells us that the name of God is the LORD and not Jehovah. That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth. Please be mindful of this for future prayer requests. Also, praying for protection is very good. However, please consider that God does not want us to focus on the blessings but rather on the One who blesses, our Lord Jesus.
Now, let us focus on the issues around deliverance. Deliverance can mean many things such as being delivered from sin and death through salvation in Jesus Christ, or perhaps deliverance from various trials and temptations. We will focus on both of these areas. First and foremost, we pray that Rashad has been washed clean from his sin and delivered from eternal death through the salvation of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We know that salvation is only available through Jesus Christ. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB. We pray that if Rashad does not know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, let today be the day of salvation. Let him call on the name of Jesus Christ. We encourage Rashad to seek out fellow Christians and godly counsel to help him grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Perhaps Rashad can start by reading the gospel of John from the WEB.
Second, we pray that Rashad is strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit to combat the trials of life. We pray that Rashad is delivered from temptation and from the evil one. Do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:13 WEB. We pray that Rashad is equipped with the armor of God to stand against the evil one and that he is not ignorant of the devil's schemes. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 WEB. We know that the devil is like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Let us pray that Rashad will submit himself to God, resist the devil, and watch the devil flee from him. Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 WEB. We also know that our dear brother Rashad can be confident in this, that he who is in him is greater than he who is in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4 WEB.
We encourage Rashad to dive into the word of God, praise the name of Jesus, and be prepared to give a reason for the hope that he has. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. 1 Peter 3:15 WEB.
Finally, we encourage Rashad to focus on the kingdom of God and his righteousness and know that all these things will be added unto him. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 WEB.
We are praying for you Rashad, in Jesus' name. Amen.
