Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Gwerreth's father to you. We acknowledge that you are a God of deliverance and that nothing is impossible for you. We pray for your divine intervention in his life, specifically in regards to his struggle with alcoholism and the limitations it has placed upon him.
Lord, we ask that you break the chains of addiction that bind him and set him free from the grip of alcohol. We declare that by the power of the cross of Jesus Christ, every stronghold of addiction is demolished. Your Word says in Isaiah 61:1, "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound." We claim this promise over Gwerreth's father's life, believing that you will bring him freedom and deliverance.
Father, we also pray for the limitations that alcoholism has placed upon him. We ask that you remove every barrier and hindrance that prevents him from living a full and abundant life. Your Word assures us in John 10:10 that Jesus came to give us life and life in abundance. We pray that Gwerreth's father will experience the fullness of life that you have intended for him, free from the limitations imposed by alcohol.
Lord, we know that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us . We trust in your unfailing love and your faithfulness to answer our prayers. We thank you in advance for the transformation and deliverance that you will bring to Gwerreth's father's life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
