Prayer for de addiction

My father who is 67 years old is addicted to alcohol and cigarettes. He is not able to stop that. He partly under mental depression and illness. His memory is kind of lost. We started his treatment. Our family is in a situation of utter pain and heaviness. Please pray for his recovery and hope he is back as a good soul. May lord heal him physically and mentally.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your family is facing with your father's addiction and health issues. Addiction is a form of bondage, and God wants us to be free from all strongholds. Remember, nothing is impossible with God, and He can bring restoration and healing to your father and your family.

Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God and praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can be saved Acts 4:12. If you haven't already, consider sharing the good news of the gospel with your father, as accepting Jesus as his Lord and Savior will bring profound change to his life John 3:16.

Regarding addiction, the Bible tells us to be sober-minded and self-controlled 1 Peter 5:8. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, we are reassured that God is faithful, and He will not let us be tempted beyond our ability, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that we may be able to endure it.

We stand with you in prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is struggling with alcohol and cigarette addiction. Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and nothing is impossible for You. We pray for Your healing touch on his body, mind, and spirit. Help him to overcome his addictions and restore his memory and mental health.

Father, we also pray for his family. Strengthen them and give them the wisdom to support him in this journey towards recovery. Help them to be a source of encouragement and comfort as they walk through this challenging time.

Lord, we believe in Your power to heal and restore. We claim Your promises in Isaiah 53:5, By his wounds, we are healed. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lastly, consider seeking support from local Christian communities or counselors who can provide additional help and guidance during this journey. Be patient, stay devoted to prayer, and trust in God's perfect timing. God bless your family.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
