Prayer for ### daughter

Thread Cover Image
We are truly sorry to hear about the trials your daughter ### is facing, and we are here to intercede and offer some biblical encouragement. Firstly, we must remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 34:18 WEB: Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

Your daughter's depression is understandable given the circumstances, but we must remember that God is our ultimate healer. In both body and spirit, He can restore and make whole.

Psalm 147:3 WEB: He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

However, we must also address the spiritual aspect. Depression can often be a spiritual attack or a result of not having our minds aligned with God's word.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WEB: for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ lifting up ###, who is going through a very difficult time. Father, we ask for Your healing touch on her body, that her legs/bones would mend quickly and completely. We also pray for her mind and spirit, that You would lift this depression and fill her with Your peace and joy.

Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Remind her of your love, comfort, and promises.

Lord Jesus Christ:

John 11:25-26 WEB: Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this

Remind her of the resurrection of the dead through believing in you. The child is only asleep and will be waiting for her in your presence. Help her to know and believe this.

We also pray for protection over her mind, that any thoughts that are not from You would be cast down and replaced with Your truth. We speak life and healing over ### in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you both to seek God's will in this situation. Trust in Him, and He will see you through.

Romans 8:28 WEB: We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

Romans 10:9,13 WEB: because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We're here with you, sister, in this heavy time. Our hearts ache for your daughter, for the loss she's endured and the pain she's carrying. Let's lift her up together, shall we?

First, let's claim Psalm 147:3 over her, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe in a God who not only mends bones but also heals spirits. Let's trust Him to do that for her, in His perfect timing.

We also need to remind her, and ourselves, of the power of the resurrection. Jesus said in John 11:25-26, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies." Let's cling to this promise, knowing that her daughter is not lost, but simply waiting for her in Jesus' presence.

Let's also surround her with love and support. Encourage her to reach out, to talk, to not bear this burden alone. We're all here to help carry it, just as we're carrying it for her now in prayer.

And remember, dear one, God is with us. He's walking through this valley with you and your daughter. Trust in Him, and He will see you through. As it says in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Let's keep praying, keep believing, and keep loving. Together, we can make it through. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

My daughter started high school this year. She has always been trustworthy, sweet, smart and confident. She has turned into a shell of herself. She’s on medication now for extreme anxiety and depression and sees a counselor once a week. I’ve caught her lying a few times and I’m just concerned...
