Firstly, let's remember that God has wonderful plans for us, as Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB) says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
However, we want to ensure that your pursuit of a career is not an end in itself, but a means to glorify God and support your family. As Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB) teaches, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
Now, let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ###'s desires and plans. You know the deepest longings of their heart, and You have the power to grant them the job and career they dream of. We ask that You align their desires with Your will and guide them to a profession that not only fulfills them personally but also brings glory to Your name.
We pray for their future family, that they would be a blessing to their spouse and children. We ask that their home would be filled with Your love, peace, and joy, as promised in John 14:27 (WEB), "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you."
Lastly, we pray that ### would continually seek You and Your kingdom first, as Matthew 6:33 (WEB) tells us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
