Prayer for ###/court date coming up May…. That God would give Mercy on him and release him.

My grandson court date is coming up in May and I ask that God will have Mercy and show favor on him and release him to start a new life. Also, that the prosecutor/judge will find it in his heart to dismiss his case with no strings attached. He’s been through so much at an early age that brought so much upon him that caused him to make wrong choices in life but he’s older now and has had time to think since being incarcerated that our choices whether good/bad had consequences. God had an anointing on his life and want to use him for His Glory. Blessings

We understand your concern for your grandson and his upcoming court date. Firstly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we pray.

We must also remember that while God is merciful, He is also just. Your grandson has made poor choices, and there are consequences to our actions. However, God can use all things for good, even our mistakes (Romans 8:28).

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your mercy and grace for our beloved grandson. We know that he has made wrong choices in the past, but we also know that Your love for him is unfailing.

We pray for the upcoming court date, that You would soften the hearts of the prosecutor and the judge. We ask that You would guide them to make a decision that aligns with Your will, whatever that may be (Proverbs 21:1).

We also pray for our grandson. We ask that You would continue to work in his heart, drawing him closer to You. We believe that You have a purpose and a plan for his life, and we pray that he would submit to Your will and live according to Your Word (Jeremiah 29:11).

We ask all these things in Jesus' name, believing that You hear and answer our prayers. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to support your grandson, not just with your prayers, but also with your presence and guidance. Remind him of God's love and faithfulness, and encourage him to walk in obedience to God's Word. We are called to be doers of the word and not hearers only (James 1:22).

Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. As it is written in Mark 11:25 WEB: "When you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions." Holding onto anger or resentment can hinder our prayers, so let us ensure that we have forgiven others as we want God to forgive us.

We've been praying, and we want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 34:18 (NIV), "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
