Thank you for bringing this concern to our group and our Heavenly Father is the God of the possible. In Jesus name, we approach the throne of God with confidence, that the will for this man will be done according to his care for his creation and children. May his heart of stone be changed to a heart of flesh. We pray for his authentic conversion, that he may become a new creation in Christ, as the word of the Lord tells us. Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new ( 2 Corinthians 5:17 ).
There was a man named Saul of Tarshish, who persecuted the church of God and supported the killing of those of The Way. However, God transformed him dramatically to a faithful servant and Apostle of our Lord Jesus Christ. He did more to expand the early church than any other in history.
Let us pray, Heavenly Father, we come before you, lifting up this man who is causing trouble in the neighborhood and even seeking to destroy a neighboring church. Father, only you can truly change a heart. We pray for the conversion of this man to acknowledge the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and become part of the church to glorify God and edify His creation as God desires for us. Lord, your desire is for a reconciliation and atonement. We ask, Father, for your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. This will be done in Jesus Christ name, Lord God. You are a powerful God and a patient God.
Also, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ for the church he is trying to destroy. We ask that the elders of the church remain strong in faith and lead the rest of the flock in truth and wisdom from the Holy Spirit as we are reminded in James 5:13-15. May God give them wisdom to handle this situation according to the word, and may God protect them from any harm or distress. May they be reminded of the Lord's words in Romans 8:31 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
We also are reminded in Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them" and with this unity, we can bind in heaven the evil forces causing this and any other ills that may fall with his salvation as well as free the church to minister in their purpose and the work of God.
When and if any efforts of rebuke or reproach are required prior to his salvation, caution and consideration is guided so well in 2 Timothy 2:25-26 explaining that "in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may give them repentance to the acknowledgement of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape out of the devil's snare, having been taken captive by him to his will."
Finally, this request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus' Name). We remind that it is only by Jesus Christ that we get to the Father and that is all by grace through faith in the name of Jesus Christ alone
Let us pray also for ourselves and others that we see and seize opportunities to share the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ with others. 1 Timothy 2 reminds us all:
1 First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, 2 for kings and all those who are in authority, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Here is a sound saying that deserves full acceptance: 5 Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst. (1 Timothy 2:1-5)
