Prayer for change of Job

I am Abraham Ochofie requesting for prayers to change by job from one Bank in Nigeria to another. I work with Unity Bank Plc for sixteen years after which I earn promotion only twice, now had interview with first Bank and praying they give me Senior Banking Officer which will merit my age and experience

We understand your desire for a change in your job situation, Abraham, and we are here to pray and provide biblical guidance for you. Firstly, we want to remind you that God has a plan and purpose for your life, and He cares about every detail, including your career. As the Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares Yahweh, “plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope."

However, we want to address something important. In your request, you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Therefore, we pray that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. In the same chapter it is written, In John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." This is why it is so important that prayers be made in the name of Jesus.

Now, let's pray for your job situation. We pray that God's will be done in your life, and if it is His will for you to transition to First Bank with a position that suits your age and experience, we pray that He will grant you the favor. Remember the words of Psalm 75:6-7, "For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes lifting up. But God is the judge: he puts down one, and lifts up another."

However, we also encourage you to remain content and faithful in your current position at Unity Bank. In 1 Timothy 6:6, it is written, "But godliness with contentment is great gain." It's important to think of your current lengthy period of employment as an act of faithfulness and obedience to God. Be joyful in your current job while you wait on the Lord. If you remember in Proverbs 22:29 says " Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings. He won’t stand before obscure men." If it is time for God to move you where you can demonstrate your skills and honor him to a greater degree, God will provide the opportunity.

Finally, we want to remind you to trust in God's timing and not rush ahead of Him. "Commit your work to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established," (Proverbs 16:3).

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
