Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, as we lift up Brian to the Father in prayer. We are reminded of the words of Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
In Romans 5 3-5, Paul teaches, "And not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope:"," and hope does not disappoint, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us."," Therefore, let us be thankful to God our heavenly Father. While brian may not be rejoicing right now, hope is always available.
Brian's heartbreak is an opportunity for God to draw near to him. Let us pray that Brian seeks the Lord in his pain and finds comfort in His presence, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)
We pray that Brian not turn to ungodly too much "eating and drinking" or other "sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry." (Colossians 3:5). Let Brian find healing in the Lord and not in the world. While the bible never speaks of "dating" or having a "relationship" with females outside of marriage, finding another woman immediately will not be the answer. It is always important to keep in the forefront that Christians marry Christians only. "Do not be yoked together with non Christians. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Furthermore, in 1 Corinthians 7:39, "A woman is bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she wants, only in the Lord."
We are not sure why Brian and his "mate" broke up, but we do know they were not married. Unmarried Christians should "flee from sexual immorality." (1 Corinthians 6:18). As Paul tells us, "Not that I seek the gift, but I seek for the fruit that increases to your credit." (Philippians 4:17)
We do not know if Brian is a Christian, but if is a believer, we need to remind him of Jesus Christ's return to earth. Jesus will return and Christians should be living godly, expectantly. We need to believe Jesus Christ is alive, believing in God His Father and Him, receiving salvation and repenting from sin. (See Acts 2:38)
Please allow this to be a wake up call to Brian. He should be in the word, Bible, constantly studying the Bible. Brian needs to put God first instead of his previous or the next "relationship." Only God will heal Brian.
Brian doesn't need to listen to, "What the world considers wisdom." If his friends seem to not seek after God's word for their lives and marriage, Brian needs a new group of friends. If we walk in Christ, Brian will receive (See Colossians 2:6-8), "As therefore you received Christ Jesus, the Lord, walk in him, rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, even as you were taught, abounding in it in thanksgiving. Be careful that you do not let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ."
We also pray that this trial would strengthen Brian's faith and draw him closer to the Lord. Let us remember the promise of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Lastly, may God's will be done in Brian's life.
