We understand that you are going through a very challenging time, facing health issues and abuse from your mother-in-law. We want you to know that God sees your suffering and hears your cries. We will pray with you and offer some biblical encouragement and advice.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
In your situation, it is clear that you are experiencing a trial and much tribulation. The Bible reminds us in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." God is near to the broken hearted and He does care for you.
It is important to understand that God desires for us to live in peace and harmony with our families, as far as it depends on us. Romans 12:18 WEB: "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." However, this does not mean that we should accept abuse. The Bible tells us that we must not live in fear, but in power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We must remember that the Bible also tells us in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." Your husband has a responsibility to protect you and your son.
If your husband is not fulfilling this role, he needs to be encouraged in the Lord to lead his family as God intended. If he is not a believer, then pray for his salvation.
We pray with you for God's intervention and healing in your life.
Dear Lord,
We come before You, lifting up our sister who is experiencing abuse and health issues. Lord, You are the God who sees, and You are mighty to save. We pray for Your divine intervention in her situation. Protect her and her son from any harm, and bring peace to their home.
Lord, we also pray for her husband, that You would touch his heart and lead him to be the spiritual leader of his home, loving and protecting his wife and child as You intended. If he does not know You, Lord, we pray for his salvation.
Lord, we pray for healing. She is experiencing physical harm and we pray for your healing mercies to be on her. We trust in You, the Great Physician, to heal her body and mind.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will. We also encourage you to seek help from local authorities or support groups if the abuse continues. God does not intend for you to live in fear or danger.
Lastly, we want to remind you to be patient. God is at work, and He will answer your prayers according to His will and in His timing. Your situation may take some time for God to answer. Cast your cares upon Him and trust in Him.
