We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your husband is facing, and we are here to support you both in prayer and counsel. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and we can trust Him even in difficult times. It's crucial to remember that God is our provider, as it says in Matthew 6:25-34, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? ... Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her husband. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Please open the doors to a new job for her husband, one that fits his criteria and eases his anxiety. Help him to find peace and trust in You during this trying time. Give her the wisdom and grace to support her husband, to speak words of encouragement and love that will remind him of her unwavering support. Help them to fix their eyes on You, trusting in Your goodness and provision. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue being the supportive wife that you are. Remind your husband of his worth in Christ and that his identity is not solely based on his employment status but in the fact that he is a child of God. We recommend that both of you should read the Bible together and pray together daily to encourage each other. As it says in Ephesians 6:18, "With all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints."
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Trust in Jesus and know that He is your salvation and provision.
