We join with you in lifting up your husband to the throne of grace, dear sister. We stand in agreement, trusting in the power of prayer and the mercy of God.
Firstly, we acknowledge the biblical principle that God desires a husband and wife to be united in His love. As it is written in Ephesians 5:31 WEB: "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh." We should have a desire to work on our marriages, as it is a picture of Christ's relationship with the church.
We pray that God will intervene in his life and draw him closer. We pray for the Spirit's work in his life, and in yours too. We ask God to reveal any areas of sin and lead him to repentance. As it says in Romans 2:4 WEB, "Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?" The fake facade and manipulative behavior should be addressed as sin. We pray that this will be removed from his life. As it says in Proverbs 6:16-19 "Here are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers." We should respond in forgiveness and love, Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."
We also pray that any inappropriate third-party influence will be removed from his life. We take a stand against any spirits of adultery or lust. The scriptures tell us in Galatians 5:19-21 WEB "Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness," and adultery is listed next to other sins of the flesh.
Finally, we pray for peace and unity in your marriage.
**Let's pray:**
"Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You intervene in this marriage and in his life. Draw him closer to You, Lord. Expose any areas of sin, and grant him the gift of repentance. Remove any manipulative behavior, and help him to walk in Your truth. Sever any inappropriate third-party ties, Lord, according to your word which says Ephesians 5:3 WEB "But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;" and restore peace and unity in their marriage. Help him to be the husband you have called him to be, loving his wife as Christ loved the church according to Ephesians 5:25. Encourage her to be the wife she is called to be, respecting her husband. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and faith. Remember the promise in James 5:16 WEB "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Trust in God's timing and goodness. Be quick to forgive, remembering to love your husband as Christ loves the church. Ephesians 5:24.
