Firstly, we are glad to join with you in prayer for your son's healing. We are reminded of the scripture that tells us "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit."
We agree with you that God's will be done but we must understand what that means. Jesus modeled this for us when praying to the Father before going to the Cross.
"Saying, Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done."
Notice Jesus did not just say God's will be done as some sort of way to just accept what was happening to Him. Jesus said if there is another way to accomplish the goal, then let us do that. But if this is the only way, then that is what we will do. So God's will be done does not mean we just accept the circumstances. No, it means we seek God for a solution and for His purposes to come to pass. So we need to pray that God will heal your son as a testimony of His goodness and mercy. And we will continue to pray until we see this come to pass.
We do notice, though, that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God and His healing power. It is only by faith in Jesus Christ that our prayers are answered. As scripture states, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.' How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?"
We want to encourage you to believe in Jesus Christ and call on His name for your son's healing. It is by His stripes we are healed. " But he was pierced for our transgressions.
He was crushed for our iniquities.
The punishment that brought our peace was on him;
and by his wounds we are healed."
Heavenly Father, we come to you in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking healing for our dear brother's son. You are the Great Physician, and there is no sickness or disease that can stand before Your healing power. We ask that You touch his back, heal his pain, and restore his health. We believe that Your will is always to heal, so we stand firm in our faith, knowing that You will raise him up with perfect health.
We also pray for his mother, who brought this request to us. We ask that You fill her with Your peace, strengthen her faith, and encourage her heart as she trusts in You. Help her to call on the name of Jesus and to believe in His power to save, heal, and deliver.
We thank You for the healing that is on its way. We declare that our brother's son will be a testimony of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We glorify Your holy name, and we ask all these things in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
In the meantime, let us encourage you to continue to trust God and thank Him for the healing even though you do not see it yet. And be encouraged by this scripture, "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them."
