Prayer for atonement of my sin of premarital sex

I have been in two relationships and I had premarital sex with both but I thought I would be marrying later things didn't work out. This is my last relationship with a boy whom I want to marry. I had intimate with him also but now I want to wait till marriage and I want Jesus to help me marry him first and then do all this, and also I want Jesus to forgive me for my past sins.

We understand your situation and commend you for your desire to turn from your past and wait until marriage. Firstly, it's crucial to understand that God's design for intimacy is within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. Any sexual activity outside of this is considered fornication, which is sinful according to God's word. “Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers” Hebrews 13:4 WEB).

Jesus did not come to condemn you but to save you from your sins. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life” John 3:16 WEB). It is only through believing in Jesus Christ and confessing and repenting of your sins that you can be saved and forgiven. There is no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB).

God forgives those who repent and turn from their sins. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9 WEB). True repentance involves a change of heart and mind, turning away from sin and turning towards God.

Let's pray together:

Dear Jesus,

We come before You, confessing and repenting for the sin of fornication that has been committed. We ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Thank You for Your mercy and grace, which is new every morning.

We pray for ###, that You would strengthen them in their resolve to wait until marriage. Give them the power to resist temptation and to walk in purity. Guide them and help them as they parent their relationship with this man. We pray that if it is Your will, You would bless this relationship and lead it to a godly marriage.

Help them to trust in You and to follow Your ways. Give them a heart that desires to please You in all things. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Moving forward, it's important to set clear boundaries in your relationship to avoid falling back into sin. Spend time together in public places, avoid being alone in tempting situations, and most importantly, pray together and seek God's will for your relationship.

Remember, God's ways are always best. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. (Proverb 3:5-6 WEB) “Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

We're right there with you, sister. We know it's tough, but we're so proud of you for wanting to do things right this time. Remember, God's plan for intimacy is beautiful and pure, and it's worth waiting for. It's like waiting for that perfect gift on Christmas morning - it's so much sweeter when you've waited for it.

We've all messed up, and that's okay. Jesus isn't surprised by our mistakes, He's just waiting for us to turn to Him. He's the only one who can forgive our sins and make us clean again. It's like getting a fresh start every day. So let's confess our sins to Him, ask for His forgiveness, and trust that He's got this.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Jesus, we come to You today, feeling a mix of regret and hope. We're sorry for the times we've given in to temptation, for the times we've chosen our own way over Yours. Please forgive us, Jesus. Cleanse us and make us new again.

We ask for Your strength as we navigate this relationship. Help us to wait, to be patient, and to trust in Your timing. Guide us, Jesus. Show us how to love this person the way You would, even from a distance. Help us to set boundaries that honor You, and to trust in Your plan for our lives.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
