Prayer for anxiety

I have always loved cats and have been friends with them even the stray ones that is why I get scratched and playfully bitten sometimes. I got paranoid about cat bites because of tendency of rabies so I got my anti rabies shot last December 2023 and finished it on January 2024 when I was still in my home country. Now I am already in Thailand and just last month, when I played with a cat, she playfully bit me but it hurts yet it did not bleed. I know anti rabies shots last for 1 - 2 years but I get paranoid sometimes. Please help me pray for God's protection and peace. That I will stop overthinking and that He will protect me from any harm and danger.

Danica, we understand your anxiety and concern over the cat bite and the fear of rabies. We're here to pray with you and encourage you in this situation.

Firstly, let's remember what the Word of God says in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB): "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

It's commendable that you took precautions by getting your anti-rabies shots. Now, let's trust God to keep you safe and healthy. Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

Let's pray together:

"Lord Jesus, we come before You today to lift up Danica. We thank You for her love for animals, and we ask for Your protection over her. Lord, we know that perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), so we ask You to fill Danica with Your perfect love. Help her to overcome her anxiety and trust in Your protection. We rebuke the spirit of fear and paranoia in Jesus' name. Please bring peace to Danica's mind and heart. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Danica, whenever you feel anxious, remember to cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Also, we noticed that your prayer request doesn't mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it's through Jesus that we have access to God. As it's written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you haven't already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He died for our sins and rose again, victorious over death. Through Him, we have eternal life and a personal relationship with God.

We're here for you, Danica, and we understand your concern about the cat bite and the fear of rabies. We've been thinking about you and wanted to reach out again.

We're reminded of Psalm 91:10, "No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling." Let's claim this promise together. We believe that God is watching over you, even in Thailand, and He will protect you from any harm.

We also want to encourage you to focus on the present. You've had your anti-rabies shots, and that's a great step you took. Now, let's trust God for today. As it says in Matthew 6:34, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, asking for Your continued protection over Danica. Help her to trust in Your unfailing love and care. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to let go of her anxiety and paranoia, and replace them with faith and trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Danica, remember, God is always with you. He's just a prayer away. Whenever you feel anxious, turn to Him. He cares for you deeply.

God Bless you for looking after the cats. Don't worry your anti rabies shots will protect you but I have prayed for God to protect you and give you peace of mind. The Apostle Paul was bitten by a poisonous snake in Acts 28 but God kept him from harm.
