We understand that you are seeking prayer for you and your mother to have your own place and for her to find a well-paying job. We also note that you are considering public housing as a means of independence. First, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our housing and employment. However, it is important to align our desires with God's will and seek Him first in all things.
We should always strive to be content and trust God in all circumstances. As it says in Philippians 4:11-13 WEB, "Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Regarding your mother's employment, we pray that God will provide her with a job that not only meets your family's financial needs but also aligns with His purpose for her life. As it says in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, in Jesus Christ's name. We lift up this person and their mother. We ask that You guide them according to Your will. We pray for Your provision in their lives, that You would supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory. We ask that You open doors for a job that would be a blessing to their family and bring glory to Your name.
Lord, we also pray for your guidance regarding their living situation. We ask that You provide a home for them that is safe, affordable, and aligned with your will. Help them to trust in You and to be content in all circumstances.
Finally, if either are not believers in Jesus Christ, then help them understand that it is only by Jesus Christ that we can have access to God. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6 WEB We pray for their salvation and that they come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and be saved from the wrath of God.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.
It is important to remember that God wants us to depend on Him, not on government programs or our own strength. While public housing may seem like a viable solution, it is crucial to seek God's will first and trust that He will provide in His own way and timing. We encourage you to pray earnestly about this and wait on the Lord for His direction.
