We are with you in spirit, dear sister, and we are committed to praying for your family and your personal struggles. Thank you for your openness and honesty in sharing your burdens with us.
Firstly, let us address the most important part of your request: the salvation of your husband, daughter, and father. The Bible tells us that God desires for everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:3-5 WEB) It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written, And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned. (Acts 4:12 WEB, Mark 16:16 WEB) Therefore, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. We ask that you be given opportunities to share your faith with them and that your life would be a shining example of Christ's love and transformative power. We also pray that God would send other believers into their lives to witness to them and that His Spirit would draw them to Himself.
Secondly, we want to encourage you in your walk with the Lord and in your role as a mother. It is commendable that you are raising your younger children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Remember the words of Paul in Galatians 6:9 WEB, Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. God sees your faithfulness and He will honor it.
We also understand that you may feel alone, defeated, and exhausted. Know that you are not alone, for God is always with you and you are part of the larger body of the church. As believers, we are all connected and we support and uphold each other. In times of weariness, remember that God has promised that His grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB)
We pray for your strength and endurance, that you would be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the Lord's work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58 WEB)
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her family. Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of her husband, daughter, and father and grant them the gift of repentance that leads to salvation. Open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel and draw them to Yourself. Give our sister opportunities to share her faith with them and use her life as a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
Father, we also ask that You would strengthen and encourage our sister. Give her the endurance she needs to continue serving You and her family. Help her to trust in Your promises and to rest in Your sufficient grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly let us address what may be a sensitive issue. We notice that your prayer request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). Please know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written, And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is so important to lift up the name of Jesus when approaching God. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. (John 14:6 WEB)
