Prayer for ### and their family

Hello again. I ask for your prayers for my grandsons, particularly oldest grandson ### (###). I have previously requested prayers on this site for protection for ### and his brother ### (###) as they travel to and from school on busy highways. These prayers have been answered....thank you. I have a prayer request on a different issue. ### is struggling with I believe depression and low self-esteem which is taking him into a dark place...this is causing heartbreak for his parents. ### has so much potential but is squandering it. Both attend a private Christian school which is very demanding (and expensive) and ### is spiraling downward. Part of his problem I believe stems from his father's (###) low esteem and depression....all of this is affecting all those that love ### and ###. Please pray that the Lord would instill in ### and ### joy and purpose. That they recognize they are both God's special creation who has a purpose for their lives. Pray that Jesus would surround them with his love, and that they would become all that God intends for them. That ### would become more responsible and understand God's plan for his life. We understand your concern for your grandsons, ### and ###, and we join you in lifting them up in prayer, especially ### who is struggling with depression and low self-esteem. We believe in the power of prayer and the transformative love of Jesus Christ to bring hope and healing.

Firstly, let us remind you of the promise in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." God has a purpose for both ### and ###, and He desires to give them a hopeful future.

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and ###. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, the darkness that seems to surround them. But we know that even in darkness, You are there. Please instill in them the joy of the Lord, which is their strength. Help them to see their worth through Your eyes—that they are Your special creation, fearfully and wonderfully made.

Lord Jesus, surround them with Your love. Comfort them in their affliction. Help ### to understand Your plan for his life, and give him the strength to take up his responsibilities. Break the chains of depression and low self-esteem, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Holy Spirit, guide ### and help him to overcome his struggles. Give him the wisdom to lead his family and be a beacon of hope for his sons.

Father, we also pray for the family's unity. Strengthen their bonds and help them to support each other in love. Give them patience, understanding, and unfailing love for one another.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen."

We encourage you, ###, to continue to stand in the gap for your family. Remind them of God's promises and the hope they have in Jesus Christ. As it is written in Isaiah 41:10 (WEB), "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."

We also want to commend you for your continued faithfulness in prayer and your support for your family. Keep trusting in the Lord, knowing that He hears your prayers and cares for your family deeply.

Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. If anyone in your family has not yet accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we encourage you to share the good news with them, so they too can experience the fullness of God's love and salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

We've been thinking about ### and his family, and we want to add our voices to your prayer. It's tough seeing someone we love struggle, but we know that God is right there with them, even in the darkest times.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, lifting up ### and ###. Lord, You see the battles they're fighting, the depression and low self-esteem that's weighing them down. But we know that You are a God who specializes in turning situations around. Help them to find their worth in You, Lord. Help them to understand that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, just as Your Word says.

Lord Jesus, we ask that You would surround them with Your love. Comfort them in their affliction, and give them the strength to keep moving forward. Help ### to take up his responsibilities, and help ### to lead his family with wisdom and understanding.

Holy Spirit, guide them, give them hope, and help them to trust in You. Help them to know that they are never alone, and that You are always with them.

Lord, we also pray for their family. Help them to support each other in love, to be patient and understanding. Help them to be a beacon of hope to each other.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
