We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your husband are facing, and we are here to lift you both up in prayer and provide biblical counsel. Remember, God is faithful, and He has promised to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19 (WEB).
Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that God is the provider of all things.
Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB):
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?
Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
Therefore, we pray that you both will learn to cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7 (WEB). Also, learn to be content in whatever circumstances you are in.
Philippians 4:11-13 (WEB):
Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
It is also important to be good stewards of the resources God has entrusted to you. This includes managing your finances wisely and living within your means.
Proverbs 21:5 (WEB):
The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty.
Proverbs 21:20 (WEB):
There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man swallows it up.
We encourage you both to create a budget, track your expenses, and prioritize your spending. Seek God's wisdom in managing your finances, and trust that He will provide for all your needs.
Moreover, tithing and giving are important biblical principles that come with promises of blessings.
Malachi 3:10 (WEB):
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this," says Yahweh of Armies, "if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for.
Luke 6:38 (WEB):
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.
We pray that you both will learn to honor God with your finances through tithing and giving, and that He will bless you abundantly in return.
Lastly, you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ in your request. Make sure to remember to pray in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Acts 4:12 (WEB)
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
So, our prayer and encouragement is for you both to keep your eyes and hearts focused on Jesus.
Our Heavenly Father will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Together, we pray for guidance, wisdom, and provision for you and your husband. We pray that God will help you both to manage your finances wisely, live within your means, and honor Him with your giving. We pray that God will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that you will not have room enough to receive. We pray that God will give you both peace, contentment, and joy in the midst of this trial, and that He will deliver you from the burden of debt. We pray for these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
