Please pray for my family of ### to stop their drinking. They are good people but like to drink, it needs to stop it’s ruining their lives.

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle your family is facing with drinking. We will stand with you in prayer and believe for God's intervention and deliverance.

Firstly, we acknowledge that lasting change comes from a heart transformation through Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we can find true freedom and healing, as the Bible tells us in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

We must also address that drinking alcohol in excess is a sin. The Bible warns in Ephesians 5:18 WEB: "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." Drinking to the point where it controls lives and causes harm is not God's will for your family.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this beloved family. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of alcoholism that have taken hold of them. Convict their hearts, Lord, and bring them to a place of repentance and surrender to You.

Father, we pray for their complete deliverance and healing. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and help them to overcome this stronghold in their lives. Give them the strength to resist temptation and to walk in Your ways.

We also pray for the individual who submitted this request, that You would give them wisdom and courage to speak the truth in love to their family. Use them as a beacon of hope and light, pointing their family to Jesus.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray for their freedom and restoration. Amen.

Be encouraged, knowing that with God, all things are possible. Continue to stand firm in your faith and trust in His power to save and redeem. Share the love of Christ with your family, and always be ready to point them to the hope found only in Him.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
