We rejoice with you, Asteiwick, as you and your fiancé embark on this journey of commitment and healing. Firstly, we commend you for your decision to overcome addiction, which is a significant step in your journey together.
We are reminded of 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." As you both are renewed in your commitment, we pray for your strength and communication to flourish.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Asteiwick and her fiancé. We thank You for the love that You have placed in their hearts for each other and for their desire to honor You in their relationship. We pray for their strength in this time of overcoming addiction, that You would grant them the power to support each other and to stand firm in their resolve.
We pray for their communication to be open, honest, and guided by Your wisdom. May they be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry, as instructed in James 1:19. We ask that You would give them guidance and clarity to discern right from wrong, that they may walk in Your paths and not stumble.
We rebuke any shadows or negative energies that may be lurking from their past. In the name of Jesus, we cast out anything that is not of God and claim Your protection and blessing over their new home. May it be a place of love, peace, and growth.
We claim that just as you meant our original marriage to in the garden of Eden to be a blessing, we likewise ask that you make their marriage to be successful, blessed, and reflective of God's work. May the devil's schemes be ruined and God's glory revealed in their union. Amen.
We encourage you both to continue seeking God's will for your relationship and to remember that His plans are always for your good and His glory.
Lastly, we notice that in your prayer request, you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God and salvation. Acts 4:12 states, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved."
