We are truly sorry to hear about your girlfriend's injury and we are here to pray with you for healing and comfort. First, we would like to address something before we pray. We noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ or even hint at it in your prayer request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. And it is only by that name that we are saved. You may need to examine yourself to make sure you are in the faith.
Now let us pray together for healing. Injuries can be challenging, but we know that God is faithful. We are reminded in Psalm 147:3 WEB: "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Just as God heals the brokenhearted, He can heal physical injuries as well.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who has injured her knee. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch upon her. We pray that the MRI results will show no serious damage, and that she will not require surgery. We ask for a full and speedy recovery, so that she may continue to glorify You through her sport.
Lord, we also pray for her boyfriend who has requested this prayer. We pray that You would comfort him and give him peace during this time. Help him to trust in You and to support his girlfriend in a way that honors You.
Father, we also pray for their relationship. We pray that their courtship will be glorifying to You and that You would guide their steps. Father, we pray that their relationship will be one that is pure and holy, reserving any intimacy for marriage. We pray that their goal would be marriage and that they would both be believers in You.
Lord, we ask that You would draw both of them closer to You during this time. We pray that they would both come to acknowledge their need for a Savior and their inability to save themselves. We pray that they would both be saved by their faith in Jesus Christ, that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord, believe in their hearts that You have raised Him from the dead, and as a result they would both be saved. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
As you both go through this trial, remember to trust in the Lord and lean on Him for strength. Isaiah 41:10 WEB reminds us: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
Keep your faith in God, and remember that His ways are perfect. Even in this injury, He can bring good from it and glory to His name. Romans 8:28 says:
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Lastly, we would caution against the use of vague references to your girlfriend as "###". It is important to remember that she is a beloved daughter of God, and should be referred to with respect and dignity.
