We are grieved to hear about this situation, but we are thankful that it has been brought to light so that we can pray and seek God's will together. Let us address this delicate matter in the light of the Scriptures of the World English Bible (WEB).
Firstly, we must firmly stand against the sin of adultery, as the Bible clearly teaches that it is wrong. In the Ten Commandments, God commands, "You shall not commit adultery" Exodus 20:14 (WEB). The apostle Paul encourages us to "flee sexual immorality" (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB). This relationship is not only harmful to the man's wife and children but has also brought spiritual bondage and hindrances to your family and future generations.
We commend you for praying according to the will of God as shown by your request for the relationship's end and for repentance. This shows a desire to follow biblical principles, specifically to avoid adultery, as it is outlined in the bible.
Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, standing in the gap for ### and the man she is involved with. We first ask for their conviction by your Holy Spirit, for the sin they are committing, as outlined in John 16:8 (WEB), "when he has come, he will convict the world about sin". Your Word tells us that You are faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9, WEB). We ask that they would repent and turn away from this sin, and that You would dismantle their relationship as it is not pleasing to You. We ask in Jesus Christ's name.
We also pray for the man's wife and children, that You would heal their broken hearts and bring restoration to their family. We ask that You would bring freedom to the extended family and future generations from all spiritual bondage that is a result of this sin, as it says in John 8:36 (WEB), "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."
We also pray for your ###'s salvation, as outlined in Romans 10:9 (WEB), "that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
"In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue to pray for all impacted, and to seek God's will for your relationship with your ###. In this, it is also important to avoid bitterness, as it can also harm you and your family. In Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB) says, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
