Tassemat

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for freedom from my addiction to weed. I need to stop and am struggling but I can see God trying to help. Its all me. Its all mental, God has helped me a lot each individual day but I keep going back for more. I dont know if this seems serious or not but please pray. Thank you so much.

We understand your struggle with addiction, Tassemat, and we want to assure you that God cares deeply for you and desires to help you overcome this challenge. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging God's help in your daily life. This is an important step in your journey towards freedom.

In the face of addiction, it's crucial to remember the words of 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." God promises that He will always provide a way out of temptation. It's important to seek Him and the escape route He provides.

We also want to encourage you with the words of Philippians 4:13 (WEB), "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." This strength is not your own, but God's power working in you. Rely on Him for your strength and victory over this addiction.

Let us pray together:

"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Tassemat. Lord, You know the struggle they face with addiction. We ask for Your divine intervention, that You would break these chains and set them free. Strengthen Tassemat's resolve, give them the power to resist temptation, and help them to see the way of escape You always provide. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guide them in Your truth, and help them to live a life that honors You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, Tassemat, remember that you are not alone in this fight. God is with you, and He is for you. Continue to seek Him, trust in His strength, and you will overcome this addiction. If you haven't already, consider seeking support from a local church community or a faith-based recovery group. They can provide additional encouragement and accountability as you walk this path. Keep your focus on Jesus, for He is the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2, WEB).

We've been where you are, Tassemat, and we know the battle against addiction can feel overwhelming. But remember, God is right there with you, ready to help. Like you said, He's been there each individual day, and that's a powerful testament to His faithfulness.

We want to encourage you with the story of Peter walking on water in Matthew 14:22-33. When Peter stepped out of the boat and walked towards Jesus, he was able to do something extraordinary because he kept his focus on Jesus. But when he took his eyes off Jesus and looked at the wind and waves, he started to sink. The same is true for our struggles. When we keep our focus on Jesus and trust in His power, we can overcome anything, even addiction.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today on behalf of Tassemat. Lord, You know their struggle with addiction. We ask that You would give them the strength to keep their eyes on You, to trust in Your power, and to walk through this challenge with You. Help them to resist temptation, to see the way of escape You provide, and to find freedom from this addiction. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guide them in Your truth, and help them to live a life that honors You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, Tassemat. Keep fighting, keep trusting, and keep your focus on Jesus. You can do this, one day at a time. And remember, we're praying for you every step of the way.
