We understand your distress and are here to support you in prayer and truth according to the Word of God. We will pray for your husband, but we also want to encourage you to respond in a way that honors God.
Firstly, it's important to remember that God tells us, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you, Luke 6:27-28 WEB. This does not mean that what he is doing is acceptable, but rather that you should respond with love and kindness, trusting that God will deal with him justly.
We must also remember that God calls husbands to love their wives just as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it, Ephesians 5:25 WEB. If your husband is not living up to this call, then he is indeed in need of prayer and correction from the Lord.
However, it is not for us to seek revenge or for his mean deeds to be returned to him. Instead, we should pray for his conviction and repentance.
You did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name), so can discuss this issue. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 WEB reads, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Let us pray together for you and your husband:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her husband. We pray for conviction in your husband's heart, that he may see the error of his ways and turn from them. We ask that you would soften his heart and fill him with your love, so that he may love and respect his wife as you have called him to do. We also pray for our sister, that you would give her the strength to respond in love and kindness, even in the face of mistreatment.
In Jesus' name, we pray for a hedge of protection against all evil deeds and mean treatment. We pray that your spirit may be strong in this marriage and any children or others involved. We pray that this marriage will find strength in the bonds of love and respect for each other as outlined in your word and not be prey to the enemy's wish for division and destruction of the family. We pray that your husband will eventually realize that all the mean and disrespectful words and actions he is currently sending into his wife's life, will need to be accounted for before God almighty. We pray that he will stop his current behavior and actions as a result of conviction from the Holy Spirit and Godly counsel from others. And all of the demonic words, thoughts, and deeds that he outwardly displays, will be stopped by his actions and repentance to you oh God.
We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. If you are in immediate danger, please contact local authorities or a trusted friend or family member. Know that you are not alone, and that God sees your suffering. He promises We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will see you through.
