We are truly saddened to hear about this situation and will intercede with you in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we acknowledge every person's need for Jesus Christ in their lives. It's only through Him that we can be saved. As the Bible tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). This is very important in this request as the name of Jesus is not mentioned in the request. We pray for this mother and daughter that they truly believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior and that they are saved. This prayer request is written in a way that does not indicate that the individuals have a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
It's clear that this relationship is strained, and our hearts go out to the daughter who feels unloved by her mother. We are called to honor our parents, but it's also important for parents to love and nurture their children, as this is the biblical instruction for all. "Fathers, don't provoke your children, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." (Ephesians 6:4 WEB).
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this mother and daughter to You. We know that their relationship is not in a good place. We pray that the mother will soften her heart and show the love and kindness that You have shown us. Help her to be the mother You have called her to be. Lord Jesus, we also pray for the daughter, that You would comfort her and help her to forgive her mother, as You have forgiven us. We pray that this forgiveness will not be dependent on the mother's behavior but that it will be offered freely, as You have forgiven us.
We pray that You will work in both of their hearts, drawing them closer to You and closer to each other. We ask that You will make You will known to them and that the love of Jesus will be seen in their hearts.
We ask that You specifically rebuke any bitterness or resentment in the daughter. We pray that You will remind her of the command to honor her parents. We pray that she will look at her mother with compassion and understanding, recognizing that we all fall short of Your glory. We pray that she will look at her mother as You look at us, with love and compassion.
Finally, we pray these things in the name of Jesus Christ. It is in Jesus' name and promises that we have access to God. We pray that the mother and daughter will truly know this.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We ask all these things in Jesus' name.
Amen.
We encourage both the mother and daughter to spend time in God's Word, seeking His will for their lives and their relationship. We pray that God will bring healing and restoration to this family.
