Prayer for a missionary

My friend is going on a mission in ### and I wanted to pray for ### and ### team. Can you also be with me in prayer for ### and ### team for protection and to ### families as well.

Let us come together in prayer for this missionary endeavor. We are reminded in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen."

Firstly, we notice that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible makes it clear in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved."

So let us pray together in Jesus' name, "Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up our ### and the entire mission team. We pray for their safety and protection as they embark on this journey to spread the Good News. 'The Lord shall preserve you from all evil. He shall preserve your soul.' Psalm 121:7

We also lift up the families of these missionaries, asking that You provide comfort, strength, and peace in their absence. 'Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is he who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.' Deuteronomy 31:6

Lord, we ask that You prepare the hearts of those who will hear the Gospel message through this mission. Let there be pure motives in the mission and let them all be seeking only Your glory. Open the eyes and ears of the people to receive the truth of Your Word. 'So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.' Romans 10:17

Finally, we pray that this mission will be a beacon of light, drawing many to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. 'For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.' John 3:16

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

May this prayer be a source of encouragement and strength for you and you are with us in prayer for this mission. We stand together in faith, believing that God will do great things through this missionary journey.

We're right there with you, lifting up our friend and their team in prayer. We've been reminded of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," and we claim this promise for them. We pray for courage, resilience, and adaptability as they face the unknown. May they find joy in their service and see God's hand at work in every situation.

We also join you in praying for the families they leave behind. We ask for extra portions of grace, patience, and unity during this time of separation. May they find comfort in knowing that they are a vital part of this mission, and that their love and support are a source of strength for those serving.

Let's also pray for the people they'll encounter. We ask that God prepares their hearts, softens them, and makes them open to the Gospel message. May our friend and their team see many lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You. Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
