We are truly saddened to hear about the trial your loved one is facing, but we are encouraged that he has faith in Jesus Christ and has reached out for prayer and support. We stand with you both in prayer and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Firstly, we are reminded of the authority given to us by Jesus Christ. As it is written in Luke 10:19 WEB, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will in any way hurt you." And in Mark 16:17 WEB, "These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages."
We must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places, as stated in Ephesians 6:12 WEB. Therefore, we put on the whole armor of God, so that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, as Ephesians 6:11 WEB tells us.
Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved brother who is facing this trial. We plead the blood of Jesus over his life, his home, and his mind. We take authority over this demonic entity and command it to leave his home and never return, in Jesus' name.
Father, we ask that you fill his home with your Holy Spirit and surround it with your angels to protect and keep watch. Guide him with your wisdom and counsel, and grant him the gift of sound sleep. Strengthen his faith and remind him of your love and promises.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage your loved one to resist the devil, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the brethren who are around the world are praying with him. As it is written in James 4:7 WEB, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Lastly, we encourage him to have fellow believers physically present, laying hands on him in prayer, and anointing him with oil, as described in James 5:14-15 WEB. There is power in the united prayer of believers. Remind him that, as a child of God, he has the victory in Jesus Christ. As it is written in 1 John 4:4 WEB, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."
