Prayer for a job

Hi all I have been looking for a job since aug of 2024 and have been unsuccessful. I have had plenty of interviews but never chosen I’m putting it in gods hands and I know he has something great for me but I’m feeling discouraged.

Kleigh, we understand your disappointment and are here to support you in prayer and truth. We are glad you are putting your trust in God, and we know that He has a plan and purpose for you.

Firstly, it is wonderful that you are putting your trust in God. We can be confident in that. Ephesians 2:10 WEB tells us, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." God has prepared good works for you, and He will equip you to walk in them.

However, we noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only by His name that we can come to God the Father and be saved. "In him we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." Ephesians 3:12 WEB. There is no other name given to us by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not already, consider putting your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, conquering death.

Regarding your job search, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and to continue seeking God's will. Colossians 3:23-24 WEB reminds us, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ." Keep working diligently, knowing that you are serving the Lord in all that you do.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Kleigh to You. Lord, we thank You that You have a plan and purpose for Kleigh's life. We ask that You would guide them to the job that You have prepared for them.

Father, we pray that You would fill Kleigh with Your peace and encouragement during this time. Help them to remain steadfast in their faith and to trust in Your perfect timing. Give them the strength to continue seeking You and Your will for their life.

We ask that You would open doors that no one can shut and that You would provide Kleigh with favor in their job search. Help them to remember that You are always with them and that You will never leave them nor forsake them.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, Kleigh, feeling your frustration and disappointment. We've all been there, haven't we? It's like we're in this job search marathon, and we're not seeing the finish line yet. But remember, we're not running this race alone. God is right there with us, every step of the way.

We love how you're keeping your trust in God. That's the key, isn't it? Trusting that He's got a plan, even when we can't see it yet. It's like that verse in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We want to encourage you to keep pressing on, to keep seeking God's will in this. It's not just about finding a job, it's about finding God's will for your life.
