Let us come together in prayer for Armed, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. It is wonderful that you are concerned for your friend's spiritual well-being and it is our joy to seek God's will together in Jesus' name.
Firstly, it is important to acknowledge the words of the Lord about forsaking the gathering of ourselves together as we see in Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB:
"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."
Indeed, being part of a local church community is vital for spiritual growth, fellowship, and encouragement. It is where we can be equipped and strengthen to live a righteous, God-honoring life, and is a sanctuary to heal from life's trials.
However, it is also important to remember that simply attending church does not necessarily lead to spiritual healing and growth. True healing comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Let us pray that Armed would not only attend church but also encounter Jesus there, being filled with the knowledge of God's will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding (Colossians 1:9 WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our friend Armed. Lord, we ask that you would stir in his heart a desire to be in your presence and to fellowship with your people. We are so grateful to hear that Anonymous' request is in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, draw Armed to yourself, and may he find healing and renewal in your church. We also pray for the church, that it would be a place of welcome, love, and support for Armed. Give him the strength to overcome whatever obstacles are keeping him from fellowship, Lord Jesus. May he come to an unadulterated faith and commitment to Jesus Christ if he has not already and be saved in the name of Jesus Christ. May he be born again to a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3 WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Continue to encourage Armed, reminding him of God's love and the importance of fellowship. If there are any specific obstacles keeping him from church, perhaps there are ways you can practically support him. Remember, the LORD is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Keep on loving, being a light in Jesus Christ, praying, and showing compassion.
