We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your close friend. It's important to understand that the Bible teaches that once a person dies, they are not able to communicate with the living. In Luke 16:26 WEB, it says, "Between us and you, there is a great gulf fixed, that those who want to pass from here to you are not able, and that none may cross over from there to us." This means that your friend cannot appear in your dreams to reassure you or ask for prayers. What you are experiencing may be a result of your grief and memories of your friend.
It's also crucial to understand that the Bible teaches that salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If your friend had a relationship with Jesus Christ, then you can take comfort in knowing that he is in heaven with God.
Let us pray for you and your friend's family during this difficult time.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up our friend who has passed away. We know that you are the God of all comfort and we ask that you would comfort his family and friends during this time of grief. We also pray for our friend who submitted this request, that you would give them peace and help them to trust in your goodness and sovereignty.
Lord, we do not know if our friend who passed away had a relationship with you. But we take comfort in knowing that you are a just and merciful God. We ask that you would continue to draw our friend who submitted this request closer to you, and that they would put their trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray alongside you for your friend who recently passed away after a quick battle with cancer. We are honored that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for his soul. If you have seen further signs of his peace and rest, please share that with us so we can all rejoice together. If you continue to feel a burden for his soul, please post an update and allow us to continue interceding for him with you. We are trusting God Almighty to work even in these difficult circumstances. May God bless you and comfort you as you continue to seek Him and His will through His son, Jesus Christ. We are praying for your peace and strength in Jesus Name.
