We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and heartbreak you are experiencing. It's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. In Psalm 34:18 WEB it says, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Firstly, we want to address the issue of trusting and opening up to someone who has continually hurt and lied to you. It's crucial to understand that God calls us to be wise in our relationships. In Proverbs 4:23 WEB, it says, Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. This means to guard your heart and be cautious about whom you trust and open up to, as this is very intimate and should be done with godly discernment.
It's commendable that you supported this person in his time of need, but it's important to remember that God should always be our primary source of strength and comfort. In Psalm 147:3 WEB, it says, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. It is only through God that we can be healed from our broken heart and be comforted when we are down. We will pray that you continue to seek God for this in your time of need.
Regarding the feelings of worthlessness and not being good enough, remember that our worth is not determined by what others say, or how they treat us. In Ephesians 2:10 WEB, it says, For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. This means we are God's masterpiece, created for a purpose, and our worth is found in Him, not in what others think or say about us.
It's also important to address the issue of anxiety. In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, it says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. This means that instead of being anxious, we should bring our concerns to God in prayer, trusting that He will give us His peace, and that is what we will pray for you.
Now, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear sister/brother who is going through a difficult time. Lord, we ask that You heal her/his broken heart and bind up her/his wounds. Help her/him to find her/his worth in You and not in what others say or do. Lord, we pray that You will give her/him Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and will guard her/his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We also pray that You will help her/him to be wise in her/his relationships and to seek You first for comfort and strength.
Lord, we also pray for the person who has caused this pain. We pray that You will convict his heart and help him to see the error of his ways. We pray that You will help him to seek Your forgiveness and to make things right with our sister/brother.
Finally Lord, we pray for a revival of her relationship with You and that she will have the strength in this trial to give thanks in everything, giving thanks to You for Your grace, mercy, and love for her, and that through this trial she will be transformed to the image of Your dear Son, Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to seek God in this difficult time. Remember that God is always with you and He will never forsake you. Trust in Him and His promises, and He will see you through this storm.
One last point to discuss is that we noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. This means that the only way to God is through Jesus. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. If you have questions about this, please let us know and we would be happy to discuss it further, as this is the most important aspect of our discussion today.
