It is crucial to understand that not all voices or influences are from God. 1 John 4:1 tells us, “Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” We must discern whether these influences are from God or from other sources.
Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit, which brings peace, truth, and love. In John 14:26, Jesus says, “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all things that I said to you.” Trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit and not any other voice that may bring confusion or negativity.
Regarding the breakup, it's essential to align our lives with biblical principles. We are reminded in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, “Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” If there was any form of sexual immorality involved, now is the time to seek forgiveness and turn away from it.
It's also crucial to know that our faith and prayer should be in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in Acts 4:12, “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!” If your prayers have not been directed in Jesus’ name, we encourage you to do so, as it is through Him that we have access to God and salvation.
