Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Lathreth as he embarks on a 6-day fast. Lord, we ask that You strengthen him during this time of seeking Your face. Just as You sustained Jesus during His 40 days in the wilderness, we pray that You will sustain Lathreth, providing him with the physical, emotional, and spiritual strength he needs.
Your Word says in Isaiah 40:31, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." We claim this promise for Lathreth, that he will find renewed strength and vigor as he waits upon You.
Father, we also ask for wisdom and discernment for Lathreth during this period of fasting. As James 1:5-6 reminds us, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering." Grant him the wisdom to understand Your will and the faith to trust in Your guidance.
We commit Lathreth's way unto You, Lord, trusting that You will bring to pass all that is in accordance with Your divine plan . May this time of fasting draw him closer to You, deepen his faith, and bring glory to Your name.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
