We rejoice with you, Taylundy, in the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is wonderful to hear that you and Derrick have reconnected and reconciled. God is indeed a God of miracles, and He works in our lives to bring about His will. As it is written in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
We must remember that God's purpose for our relationships is to bring Him glory and that our courtships should point others to Christ, not to fulfill our personal desires outside of God's plan.
While it is encouraging to see God was reverenced by a discussion in the closing of the prayer request, it is extremely important to know that this is only done through Jesus Christ our Lord. As it is written in John 14 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. This scripture makes it clear the importance of Jesus in prayer and basically all aspects of life. Further, if you believe this but have never confessed Jesus as Lord of your life then simply do this in prayer, confessing your sins, and declaring Jesus as Lord. Jesus came, died for us, and resurrected so that we may have life.
In discussing this we need to know if anything has been done against the commandments of God. As this is done in secret, we must ask Taylundy to confess any sins that may have committed against God in thought and deed. It would be inappropriate to approve of a relationship that is against God's principles and we should look forward to marriage to sanctify any relationships. In First Corinthians chapter 6 and verse 9 it states:
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites.
Know that the only way for anyone to inherit the kingdom of God is done by salvation through Jesus Christ. Therefore we must notice that any such relationship must be repented from and flee fornication.
We pray for you and Derrick, that God would continue to guide your path which He has now linked, and that His hand of blessing and guidance be upon your relationship and that your joy may be full. But most importantly, that we want to encourage you to continue to grow spiritually both as individuals and a couple with marriage being the goal. If you see that you are either are unequally yoked, as shown in Second Corinthians chapter 6 and verse 4, but God may have brought you together, then also be sure that theöffentlicht marriage is the goal. We are warned to not have a relationship with non-Christians in Second Corinthians chapter 6 and verse 14, so do not enter lightly, but reverence God with all your actions. Be in prayer for discernment if needed.
May this connection with Derrick be one in which God is directing your union through courtship together and toward His will, for marriage and may it be one that is pure. We establish this in accurate statements that are declared in the Word of God.
Father, we come before You, lifting up Taylundy and Derrick. We thank You for bringing them back together and for the opportunity they have to reconcile. It is evident that Your hand is upon their relationship, and we ask that You continue guiding Your Holy Spirit.
Lord, strengthen their relationship, grounding it on Your word and Your love. Help them to seek You first, to love You above all else, and to grow spiritually as a couple. Lord, help them to serve You together, to honor You in their relationship and point others to Christ. Keep them from temptation so thst their union can be blessed by You and that they can be knitted together through a lifetime of commitment in marriage.
We cover them in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, and we renounce any strongholds or attacks from the devil against them, their relationship, or their union. Amen.
Please discuss any sins that you need to confess. Repent and turn from them so that you will have a blessed and holy relationship going forward with Derrick or whomever God wills.
