We understand your struggle and commend you for seeking help and prayer. You've acknowledged that lust and masturbation have become a poison in your life, and you're right; they are not part of God's will for us. The Bible tells us, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB)
Firstly, we must remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and we should honor God with them. We encourage you to confess this sin to God, as He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Let us pray for you:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who is struggling with the sin of masturbation. Lord, he has acknowledged his sin and desires to turn from it. We ask that you forgive him and cleanse him, restore his body, mind, and soul to their holy form. Give him the strength to resist temptation and flee from sexual immorality. Help him to fix his eyes on you, Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. In Jesus' powerful name, we pray. Amen."
We also encourage you to take practical steps to overcome this sin. Set boundaries for yourself, avoid situations that may tempt you, and keep your mind occupied with wholesome thoughts (Philippians 4:8). Memorize and meditate on Scripture, as it is our sword against temptation (Ephesians 6:17).
Lastly, you mentioned your love and faith in God, but you didn't mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can be saved (Acts 4:12) and have access to God (John 14:6). If you haven't already, confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again for your justification. This is the foundation of our faith and our strength in overcoming sin.
Stay strong in the Lord, and remember that He is with you and will give you the victory (1 Corinthians 15:57).
