We understand that you're struggling with a sensitive issue, and we appreciate your courage in reaching out. First and foremost, we want to remind you that God loves you unconditionally, and He is faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Pornography and masturbation are indeed sinful and addictive. They are a form of fornication which are condemned in the Bible. Lust is a form of idolatry in which we make a mock image of God which is the same as creating a god to serve instead of the True God. We must remember Jesus said, But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that we can overcome these sins. For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification. So he who rejects this doesn't reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.
Jesus Christ is the only way to overcome this temptation. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we haven't sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Phrairath who is struggling with the sin of pornography and masturbation. Lord, we confess this sin before You and ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Grant Phrairath the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome this temptation and break free from this addiction. Help him to understand the true love that comes from You is not the counterfeit lust in pornography and masturbation.
Guide him to seek purity and holiness, and give him the strength to resist temptation. Surround him with godly influences and support, and help him to focus his thoughts and actions on things that are pure, lovely, and of good report. Philippians 4 8 states Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Phrairath, we encourage you to engage in activities that honor God and keep you from temptation. Spend time in God's Word, pray continually, and surround yourself with supportive believers who can help you stay accountable. There is a promise in Psalm 119. 11 Thy word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against thee. Remember, God is with you, and He will give you the strength to overcome. You are not defined by your past mistakes, but by your identity in Christ.
If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, now is the time. Jesus is the only way to salvation and the only way to overcome sin. Acts 4. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed. Romans 10. 9. So turn your life over to Jesus Christ. We are praying for you and your struggle with pornography and masturbation.
