Jennifer and Stephen, we stand with you in prayer against the mental distress and spiritual warfare you're both facing. We believe in the power of Jesus' name and His ability to heal and deliver us from all forms of bondage.
Firstly, we commend you for recognizing the spiritual battle and naming it. As Ephesians 6:12 (WEB) says, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' mighty name, lifting up Jennifer and Stephen. Lord, they are experiencing intrusive thoughts, nightmares, anxiety, and spiritual warfare. We ask for Your divine intervention, that You would rebuke and cast out any evil spirits tormenting their minds and their marriage.
Father, we claim Your promise in 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB), 'For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.' We ask that You fill Jennifer and Stephen with this spirit, driving out all fear and anxiety.
We also pray for their marriage, Lord. That You would heal the strains caused by their mental distress. Remind them of Your design for marriage, as stated in Matthew 19:6 (WEB), 'So that they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.'"
Jennifer and Stephen, we encourage you to stay strong in your faith, trusting that God is fighting this battle for you. Remember the words of James 4:7 (WEB), "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Stand firm in the truth, equipped with the full armor of God as described in Ephesians 6:13-18. Regularly pray together, read the Word, and seek God's face. God is with you both, and He will see you through this challenging time.
