Prayer against intrusive thoughts

God please give me strength to continue resisting the enemy and the intrusive thoughts he has been trying to put into my mind that are not my own. Help me to take each thought captive and resist him knowing he will have no choice but to flee. I pray this in Jesus name.

We stand with you in the power of Jesus Christ addressing your struggle with intrusive thoughts. We are not ignorant of the enemy's devices. Therefore let us submit ourselves to God. Let us Resist the devil, and he will flee from us.

Jesus gave his disciples authority to overcome all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means harm them. Therefore, we also have authority by the blood of Jesus to overcome every thought not in alignment with the will of our Heavenly Father.

Let us consider what is written in Second Corinthians:
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Therefore, let us daily put on the full armor of God as explained in Ephesians:
Finally, let us be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Let us put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, against the spiritual forces of evil. Therefore, let us take up the whole armor of God, that we may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having accomplished all things, to stand. So, let us stand therefore, let our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, and above all, take up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And let us take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

God's promise in Philippians 4:7 is for times like these: "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Let's also remember the words of Jesus in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Jesus has overcome, and so can we, through Him.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
