We understand your concern about the spiritual influences of certain media, and we commend you for seeking prayer and God's protection. As followers of Christ, we are called to be discerning about what we expose ourselves to, as the Bible tells us, "But test all things. Hold on to what is good. Abstain from every form of evil" (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22, WEB).
Firstly, we want to address the absence of Jesus' name in your request. It is crucial to remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Therefore, we pray and encourage you to pray in Jesus' name.
Now, let us address the issue at hand. The Bible is clear about the reality of spiritual warfare and the need for us to be vigilant, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8, WEB). Exposing ourselves to ungodly content can open doors to the enemy's influence.
Let us pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You to stand in the gap for Topoxos and others who may be affected by ungodly media. We pray that You would shield them from any form of spiritual attack or witchcraft. Lord, we ask that You would give them discernment and wisdom in their choices of entertainment, that they may honor You in all they do. Help them to fix their minds on things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). We rebuke any evil spirit that may be at work, and we command it to flee in Jesus' name. We pray that You would fill Topoxos with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them in all truth and righteousness. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
