We understand your concern about spiritual warfare and the influences of media, such as the movies you mentioned. Let's address this together in prayer and through the wisdom of God's Word.
Firstly, it's crucial to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). We should be discerning about what we allow into our minds and hearts, as Philippians 4:8 WEB tells us, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."
Let us pray:
* Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask for Your divine protection and guidance in the choices we make regarding what we watch and allow into our minds. Father, if the movies called 'Descendants' or any other media contain elements that glorify witchcraft or other sins, we pray that You would give us the discernment to avoid them.
* We rebuke any spirit of witchcraft or any other evil spirits that may try to influence us or our loved ones through such media. In Jesus' name, we command these spirits to flee and never return. As it is written in James 4:7 WEB, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
* Father, help us to fill our minds with things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. Let our hearts and minds be so focused on You and Your goodness that there is no room for the enemy's influences.
* Lord Jesus, we also pray for the creators and actors in these movies. If they are promoting sin, we pray that You would convict their hearts and draw them to Your saving grace. Help us to love them as You love them, while standing firmly against any ungodly messages they may be promoting.
Lastly, let us remember the promise in 1 John 4:4 WEB, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world." With God's Spirit living in us, we have the power to resist and overcome any influence of darkness.
In all things, let's ensure we are calling on the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through Him that we have access to God and salvation (Acts 4:12 WEB).
