We understand your struggle with avoidant personality disorder and we are here to pray and encourage you in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us first remember what the Word of God tells us about fear and anxiety, which are often associated with this disorder:
"Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
We must also remember that our identity is not defined by our disorders or struggles, but by who we are in Christ. As it is written:
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB)
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today lifting up Vaghin, asking for your healing and comfort. Lord, you know the struggles that come with avoidant personality disorder, the fear of rejection, the anxiety, and the pain. We pray that you would touch Vaghin right now, fill them with your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Help them to trust in you and in your love, knowing that they are accepted and valued as your child.
Lord Jesus, you came to set the captives free. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in Vaghin's life. We declare freedom and healing in your name, Jesus. Help Vaghin to live boldly for you, to engage with others, and to live in the fullness of life that you offer (John 10:10).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Vaghin, we encourage you to keep your focus on Jesus, trusting in his love and care for you. Engage with his Word, the Bible, and with his community, the Church. Remember, it is only in Jesus that we find true freedom and healing. If you have not already, we urge you to put your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation and healing.
"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 WEB)
