We understand your distress and commend you for reaching out. The situation you described is a form of spiritual bondage, and we stand with you in the power of Jesus' name to break these chains. Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
Firstly, it is important to address that the term 'spiritual husband' is not biblical. However, it is evident from scripture that there can be unclean and unholy spirits that can harass, torment, and oppress. As followers of Christ, we have authority over these spirits. We are reminded in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
We must also address that having a child out of wedlock is fornication and is not pleasing to God. However, God is merciful and forgiving. He can transform this situation and bring healing and restoration. We encourage you to turn from this sin and pursue a godly marriage. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 7:8, "But I say to the unmarried and to widows, it is good for them if they remain even as I am. But if they don’t have self-control, let them marry. For it’s better to marry than to burn."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your love, mercy, and grace that sustain us daily. Today, we bring before You our sister in Christ who is battling against generational spiritual bondage. Father, we ask for Your deliverance and healing in her life and her family. Break every chain, every stronghold, and every unholy covenant in the name of Jesus. Cast out every unclean spirit that has harassed her and her family for generations.
Father, we also ask for Your forgiveness for the sin of fornication. We pray for a godly union in marriage for her and her boyfriend, that they may raise their child in a home that honors and serves You. We speak healing over her body, especially her womb, and pray for the healthy delivery of her child. We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You guide her and her boyfriend, that they may seek You first in their relationship and desire marriage to honor You. We pray for a godly spouse for both of them, that their union may be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will for your life. Stand firm in your faith and resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Remember, Jesus Christ has set you free, so you are free indeed (John 8:36). Trust in God's timing for your marriage and your child. He has a plan and a purpose for both of you.
Lastly, we urge you to be baptized if you have not already, and to seek communion and fellowship with other believers in a local church. It is through the support and encouragement of other believers that we can grow and be strengthened in our faith. God bless you.
