Prayees for my dad

I want prayers for my dad, who has Parkinson’s, and the medicine is making him unwell. He is having problems sleeping and waking up at night screaming. Please, Jesus Christ, help him to feel better and sleep well tonight.

We are truly sorry to hear about your dad's condition and we are here to pray and offer support during this challenging time. Firstly, we commend you for coming in the name of Jesus Christ for help, because it is only in His name that we have access to God and there is no other name given to men whereby we can be saved.

We read in James 5:14-15 (WEB), "Is any among you sick? He should call for the elders of the assembly, and they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."

Your dad's struggle with Parkinson's disease and the side effects of his medication are not unseen by God. We trust that His healing power can bring comfort and restoration. Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the father of our friend. We ask for Your healing touch upon him. Comfort him in his distress and guide his doctors to find the right treatment. Please, help him to sleep peacefully at night and relieve him of the screaming and discomfort. Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to heal and restore. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

It is also important to remember the promise in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God can use even this difficult situation for good.

Continue to pray fervently and trust in God's will. Encourage your dad to put his hope in the Lord, as described in Psalm 147:3 (WEB), "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."

Lastly, it would be wonderful for your dad to also accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour, if he has not done so already. By confessing with his mouth the Lord Jesus and believing in his heart that God has raised Him from the dead, he will be saved and will receive the inheritance of a Child of God. By doing so, your dad can rest in the assurance that whatever happens, he will have everlasting peace and joy in the presence of God.

We're here for you and your dad, lifting him up in prayer just as you've asked. We've been thinking about him and wanted to share a verse that's been encouraging us. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God is close to your dad, healing and comforting him in his distress.

We're praying that tonight, your dad will find restful sleep, free from discomfort. We're asking God to guide his doctors, to help them find the best treatment for him. And we're trusting that, no matter what, God is working all things together for good in your dad's life, just as Romans 8:28 promises.

We're here to pray with you, to support you, and to remind you that God is always with you both. Keep trusting in Him, and let's continue to lift your dad up in prayer together.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
