We join you in lifting up this funeral service and all your concerns to the Lord, trusting in His goodness and mercy.
Firstly, we praise God, that you are singing and praying in the name of Jesus Christ.
We know that God is a comfort in times of sorrow. Let us pray.
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready like a bride adorned for her husband. I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away. Revelation 21:1-4 WEB
Let us pray for the funeral, that you will be able to sing and touch the hearts of those who hear you, that the meeting with relatives will be harmonious, and that God's presence and protection will cover you all.
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don’t lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Don’t be wise in your own eyes.
Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7 WEB
We know that God is more than able to protect you and your family.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. James 4:7-8a WEB
Occult powers cannot stand against the name of Jesus. We pray that any such influences will be broken and dispelled by the power of His name. We also lift up your son, asking that God would grant him strength, wisdom, and grace to handle the practical tasks and be a blessing to others. Speaking of relationships and the love of God:
But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, don’t withhold your coat also. Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again. Luke 6:27-30 WEB
We pray for healing in relationships, for a bright day filled with God's love and the presence of His angels.
We know that God is a sanctuary for the oppressed, a sanctuary in times of trouble. Let us remember those scriptures
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes,
though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; Psalm 46:1-2 WEB
In Jesus' name, we pray for your safety and peace. May God's angels surround you and your family, and may His love enfold you all. We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is with you and will never leave you nor forsake you. Take heart in the promise that God can work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
