We are glad to come together in prayer with you, and look forward to the day you can pray with us in Jesus' name for your deliverance from this addiction. Firstly, let us correct the term you used. The act you mentioned is actually called masturbation, not maturation. Maturation is the process of growing up and is unrelated to the subject of your prayer. Also, let us review what the bible says on the subject.
Masturbation is not explicitly mentioned in the Bible, but the principles laid out in Scripture provide clear guidance. Sexual activity is intended by God to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. The Bible consistently teaches that sexual activity outside of marriage is sinful. Consider the words of 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB:
Flee sexual immorality! "Every sin that a man does is outside the body," but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
While masturbation may not be explicitly mentioned, it falls under the category of sexual immorality when it involves lustful thoughts or fantasies. Jesus taught that even looking at a woman with lust is equivalent to committing adultery in one's heart (Matthew 5:28 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with the addiction of masturbation. Lord, we know that this battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). We ask for Your divine intervention and deliverance.
Father, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them the strength and self-control to overcome this temptation (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB). Help them to flee from sexual immorality and to honor their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB).
Guide them to seek accountability and support from fellow believers, and to renew their mind with Your Word (Romans 12:2 WEB). Help them in their faith to walk in Jesus. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful and will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust in His strength to overcome this addiction. In the meantime, let us pray for God to send you a spouse if that is his will.
It is also good to seek help from godly leaders. James 5:16 (WEB) says
"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
If you are feeling overwhelmed, do not hesitate to reach out to your local church and talk to your spiritual leaders.
Please refrain from going through with maturation in the future and remember 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 WEB:
"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don't know God".
It is only the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 (WEB) says
"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!"
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please do so today. Romans 10:9-10, 13 (WEB) says
"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation".
"For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"
