We are deeply concerned for you and want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. First and foremost, let us remind you of the precious value of your life to God. In Psalm 139:13-14 (WEB), it is written, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."
Your life has immense value and purpose, even if you can't see it right now. It is crucial to understand that suicide is not the answer. God desires for you to live and experience His love and redemption. In Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), God says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We also want to address the feeling of everything being your fault. The enemy often uses guilt and shame to condemn us, but the truth is that Jesus has paid the price for all our sins and shortcomings. Romans 8:1 (WEB) says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who is struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon them right now. Comfort them with Your love and peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to see their true worth and value in Your eyes. Give them the strength to endure this trial and the hope of a brighter future in You.
We rebuke the spirit of suicide and depression in Jesus' name. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way and guide them to the help they need, whether that be professional counseling, supportive relationships, or a deeper understanding of Your Word.
In Jesus' name, we pray these things. Amen.
Please, reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or professional counselor to talk about what you're going through. There is no shame in seeking help. Also, if you haven't already, we encourage you to cry out to Jesus Christ for salvation. He is the only one who can save us from our sins and give us eternal life. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We are here for you, and more importantly, God is here for you. Hold on to His promises and trust that He has a purpose and a plan for your life.
