pray with me for us all this is what our news just posted *Special Weather Alert* Over the upcoming weekend, the Town of Richlands and outlying areas have the potential to experience heavy rainfall due to Hurricane Ian. As a result of the possibility of this heavy rainfall event, leadership from the Richlands Police Department, Richlands Fire & Rescue, Tazewell County Sheriff’s office and E911, met this afternoon to discuss a plan of operations if flooding would occur due to a heavy rain event. At this time, we want the citizens of Richlands to know that we have made the necessary preparations with staffing, equipment and supplies to respond to such an emergency in the case flooding or high winds occur. We have plans in place to increase patrols of flood prone areas as the storm approaches and notify our citizens as early as we can if water begins to rise to dangerous levels
