Lurewald, we understand that you're feeling overwhelmed by worry and financial hardship. We want to remind you that God cares about your situation and wants to help you overcome these struggles.
Firstly, let's address the worry. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
Even in times of stressful hardship we are called in faith to give thanks to God. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (WEB) tells us, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." It is very difficult to have overcome anxiousness and worriness without thankfulness. In everything give thanks to God.
Worry is a sign that we are not fully trusting God. It's important to surrender your worries to Him, knowing that He is in control. Remember, worry can't change your circumstances, but trusting in God can change your perspective and bring peace.
Regarding financial hardship, God wants us to trust Him with our needs. Jesus said, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB).
We should do everything we can to address our situation and need. We need to work to the best of our ability and with the opportunities presented by God. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (WEB) states "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'"
We see examples of taking head of finances in Genesis 41:48-49 where Joseph stored the excess harvest in preparation for the years ahead when they were told there would be a famine. Most towns save at least some food and water to prepare for possible incoming storms. We can go to God in prayer but we need to do what we can do.
It's also important to manage your finances wisely and live within your means. Proverbs 21:5 WEB states "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty." "Make sure that your lifestyle is free from the love of money, and be content with what you have. He has said, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5)
Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Lurewald. Lord, You know the worries and financial struggles they're facing. We ask that You will help, guide, and direct as people have free will. We pray that You will help steer their situation to help with financial status. Please replace worry with Your peace, and help Lurewald to fully trust in You.
We pray also for Your mercy, grace, courage, and guidance for what should be done. We ask that You will provide for all needs according to Your riches and glory in Christ Jesus that all confidence and anxiousness will be cast upon You. "For I know the plans I have for you," says Yahweh. "Plans for good, and make you to hope, not for calamities, to give you a hopeful, inspiring future."
Help Lurewald to seek Your will at all times. See God we surrender ourselves complete to You. Help us in everything we do. We give thanks to God for all circumstances we face and at all times. We rebuke our own weaknesses that cause us to stray from the sheepfold. We do all this in Jesus' name. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your focus on God. Continue to pray and seek His face. Trust that He is working things out for your good (Romans 8:28). Don't forget to also seek His wisdom as you navigate your financial decisions (James 1:5). Know that we are here with you in spirit, praying and believing for your breakthrough.
Praise be to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for by Him every knee shall bow and every tongue confess.
