Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your divine intervention and justice in the matter concerning Pastor Samuel at Coronation Baptist Church. Lord, we ask that You expose any deceit and misuse of Your holy name for personal gain. Your Word teaches us in James 5:16 to "pray one for another" and in Galatians 6:2 to "bear one anotherβs burdens," and so we lift up this situation to You.
Father, we pray for Your wisdom and discernment to be upon the congregation. If there is any wrongdoing, we ask that You bring it to light and remove any leaders who are not shepherding Your flock according to Your will. We remember the words of 1 Samuel 12:23, where Samuel said, "God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you," and so we continue to pray for Pastor Samuel, that his heart may be turned towards righteousness and truth.
Lord, we also pray for those who are struggling financially and feel burdened by the demands for tithes. We ask that You provide for their needs and protect them from any curses or negative declarations made against them. Your Word in Philippians 4:19 assures us that "my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus."
We seek Your justice, O Lord, and ask that You guide the church leadership to use the resources entrusted to them for the benefit of the poor and needy, as You have commanded in Proverbs 19:17, "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done."
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
